Digital content/ Social media Manager

Summary

Moore for Kansas City is seeking a digital content/social media manager to support an at-large city council candidate in Kansas City, Missouri. The election timeline is spring of 2027; the successful candidate will be able to help organize the campaign from the beginning.

This campaign team member will be responsible for implementing a digital campaign plan that aligns with the overall campaign and communications strategies. They will report to the campaign manager and work directly with campaign team members.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities and digital platforms will include:

1. Website launch and maintenance
2. Social media content management
   1. Facebook
   2. X
   3. Instagram
   4. Other platforms as recommended

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong knowledge of the latest campaign management strategies, tactics and tools;
• Be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Priority will be given to individuals with prior experience on a local Kansas City campaign.

This role will begin as a part-time opportunity and grow with the pace of the campaign and election timeline.
