Director of Engagement, Women's Foundation

The Director of Engagement is responsible for Women’s Foundation programs and public outreach efforts.  This includes the Appointments Project and Inner Circle programs. 

 Appointments Project (AP)

  • Secure civic appointments for women in Missouri and Kansas
  • Project recruiting, placement and outreach   
  • Conduit between applicants and elected officials
  • Track applicants and appointment opportunities
  • Organize and facilitate trainings
  • Point of contact for elected officials and appointment applicants
  • Manage applicant database
  • Generate reports and trends for CEO and Vice President of Research and Policy
  • Identify media opportunities and coordinate press events
  • Conduct surveys of Appointments Project applicants, appointees, and community partners
  • Provide input on process improvement related to the Appointments Project and civic leadership policies

Inner Circle (IC)

  • Develop and drive IC strategic plan
  • Recruit IC supporters
  • Replicate IC program in other cities in geographic areas served
  • Create dynamic and influential programming that is smart, meaningful and impactful
  • Event management from start to finish
  • Increase participation by 100% in 2018
  • Educate corporate and civic groups on the Women’s Foundation and the Inner Circle
  • Speak at public workshops/event about opportunities to get involved in Women’s Foundation

Other Duties

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of other Women’s Foundation programming and the fit into the overall strategic direction
  • Identify opportunities to create dynamic and influential programming that is smart, meaningful and impactful
  • Program management from start to finish

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years work experience
  • Strong background and work experience in project management and public speaking
  • Excellent computer skills - proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Excels at operating in a fast paced, community environment
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • High energy and sincere passion for Women’s Foundation’s mission
