Executive Director, Women’s Foundation of Greater Saint Louis

The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the Women’s Foundation of Greater Saint Louis, to support the organization’s mission to raise awareness and funding to support organizations that address the needs of women and girls. With the involvement of the Board, the Executive Director directs the implementation of programming, resource development, financial management, operations, and community engagement.  The Executive Director works with integrity, honesty and in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and presents the organization in the best light at all times. The successful candidate will have vision and discipline to move the organization forward. 

This position is full time. Work hours are flexible. Must be able to attend early morning, late afternoon and evening meetings. Work is from home. Salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the strategic and operational plans as approved by the Board of Directors
  • Manage and direct the organization in partnership with the board and administrative staff
  • Support and oversee fundraising strategies, especially individual donor relationships
  • Articulate the organization’s priorities and direction to stakeholders
  • Oversee program development and implementation to ensure that the organization delivers high quality and innovative programming
  • Be the public face of the agency and work to increase visibility and community support

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred


  • Individual fundraising experience; must have demonstrated major gift success
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing external relationships
  • Demonstrated vision and implementation in a nonprofit organization
