Raise Up Missouri is a statewide campaign to raise the minimum wage in Missouri to $8.60 in 2019 and then increase by 85 cents a year until it reaches $12.00 in 2023.


The Digital Strategist will play a key role in executing our email and social media program. Additionally, they will be responsible for the writing, loading, and sending of supporter emails, and posting to social media networks. Applicants should be creative, hardworking, and passionate about lifting up Missouri’s workers. This is not a traditional 9-5 role. Evening and weekend work will be expected from time to time.


  • Sending email blasts; ensuring that all messages are held to stringent standards of grammar, accuracy, functioning links, etc.

  • Setting up signup forms and donation pages; working with the team to improve quality and increase conversion rates.

  • Help develop innovative outreach techniques to reach our target audiences, generate media coverage, and get our message out.

  • Contribute to email copy writing process and draft daily social media content including Facebook posts and tweets.

  • Compile and summarize results of analytics for websites, email campaigns, and social networks.

  • Perform other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience driving social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other channels

  • Strong writing and copyediting skills

  • Ability to deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Photoshop/Illustrator/Graphic design/Video experience a plus.

  • Familiarity with Blue State Digital is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of any CMS or CRM is beneficial (Salsa, NGP, etc.)

  • Experience writing, managing, and executing email programs for political campaigns and/or progressive nonprofit organizations is a major benefit

Candidates must be willing to relocate to St. Louis, MO (if applicable)
